The Great Pussi(y) Riot Video Competition

banner vid comp

Hey Little Riot Girl. You’re a member of the most ass-kicking crew on GTA. Two years in and we’re still fighting strong!

On PSNPussi Riot PSN and here… Pussi Riot PSN official blog

We have the best and most creative members in the game with the most bitchin’ name and crew tag!

If you don’t know who the real ‘Pussy Riot’ are then have a read of Binchen’s excellent article on the group who inspired not only our name but also our attitude!

So don’t you think its about time we said thankyou to anarchic namesakes?

Us gals have always been a creative bunch, our crew parties are chaotic, fun and inspirational. We’ve won countless Snapmatic competitions. We have some seriously talented artists in our midst, and our WordPress website is overloaded with creative articles on all kinds of subjects.

We also have our own YouTube video channel in Pussi Riot Productions where our members have uploaded their own imaginative clips which highlights what can be achieved with a bit of team work…

These videos were painstakingly put together using capture cards and PC editing software and were a real labor of love. However now things have just got a whole lot easier.

Unless you have been living under a rock you will be aware that on Current Gen consoles, Rockstar gave us a new video creation tool called Rockstar Editor as part of the Freemode Events update, which PC gamers have enjoyed playing with for some time.

This easy to use video creation tool is now available to everyone on PC and ‘Current Gen’ consoles, and even if you’ve never dabbled in making videos before, you’ll definitely have fun dabbling with the editor’s crazy camera angles, slo-mo and filters 🙂

Your chance to win $1,250,000 in game cash!!!

gw shark card

To become the lucky winner of the Great White Shark Card which is worth $1,250,000 of in-game money, you will need to create a video clip that is no more than 3 minutes long on the theme of the real Pussy Riot. So girls in colourful balaclavas rocking out and causing chaos (sound familiar?) Then you will need to upload it to YouTube in at least 720p resolution.

The deadline for all entries is Thursday, November 5th 2015 and all you have to do to enter is send me the link to your finished clip.

This competition is open to everyone in the crew across all platforms including last gen members – remember gals limitations can lead to great art! 😉

The Pussi Riot do Pussy Riot – Crew Party

To help and inspire you to get the footage you need, this months PS4 crew party on Saturday October 3rd from 8pm GMT will be on the theme of Pussy Riot – so all attending will need to wear coloured balaclavas. Or alternatively if you own a cop uniform you could wear that so we can get some melee action violence shots!

We will have the usual mix of Free Mode challenges along with some great new playlists and in between we can do some rocking out on stage or on top of a tank or whatever else takes your fancy!

Hopefully other platforms will organise something similar around the same time, as you have roughly 7 weeks from now before the competition closes.

Remember good communication is essential in video shoots as is team work. So my advice is get chatting and get creative!

PC – The Minecraft Wall of Inspiration

This space isn’t really of any use to the non-minecrafters in the crew. We use this page to post images for group projects to draw inspiration from. That way we’ll hopefully have the same ideas when working on group projects.

My family’s coat of arms. This is where the red and yellow colour scheme on my banners comes from.

Grody: This used to be my fam’s castle in the old days. Not very castle-ish, but it doesn’t hurt to think out of the block.

Another view of the castle

Location of the castle within the town of Grave, the city of counts. The castle switched hands many times after the 1400s due to conquest, as it was a very strategic location. Therefore the castle was modified beyond recognition until it was finally demolished to make way for more and more modern fortifications.

PC – The Minecraft Progress Log

Why hello there. If you’re reading this, it means that you are at least remotely interested in what we’ve accomplished in our ‘little’ Minecraft world.

This log is dedicated to keeping track of what’s accomplished on our official Minecraft server on a daily basis. Wondering what the nether a GTA crew is doing on a Minecraft server? Give Molly’s introduction a read. If this log inspires you to join in on the fun, send me, Grody, a quick message on the Social Club and I’ll sort you out. For your convenience the most recent entry is at the top.

  • ExLee and I did some adventuring. We went and looted the stronghold. We didn’t find much, just some iron stuff. As a reminder of our little adventure, we’ve named an iron sword we found “The sword of disappointment” and put it on display in the museum.
  • I finished the museum’s roof.

  • Molly started building a water tower.
  • I started building a museum. The ground floor is for in-game paintings. The first floor is for interesting things we find during our adventures. The basement has an endermen art show. Two endermen, Miguel and Giuseppe, move random blocks all over their exhibit. They’re currently doing abstract art.
  • I removed the chunk error in the world editor. I also edited in a tunnel from the river to the ocean, as well as a channel to another river. A mountain was heavily edited to support a large fortress.

  • We were out trying to build a social life, but it proved to be too hard so we abandoned the project.

  • IceQueen built a row of houses
  • I built a book store with a house upstairs.
  • I built another portal. This one goes to a faraway jungle biome.

  • A chunk error caused a big pillar to spawn on the farm. Luckily it didn’t destroy anything. I will get rid of it using the world editor.
  • Molly finished building the baths. (see photo)
  • DarkIceQueen built a fountain.
  • I finished one of the houses. It has a butcher in the downstairs area. A chicken lives there, I’ve named her Harriet.

  • Molly started working on public baths. It has a pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. (see photo)
  • ExLee started to slowly change the world into a game of Harvest Moon by starting to breed insane amounts of farmyard animals.
  • I finished building the stronghold. It has an End portal room, but is off limits until the next MC update, as 1.9 will feature a big End update. The teleporter room is finished and currently has two working portals. Players can now travel tens of millions of blocks with the press of a button.
  • I started working on a few houses. So far they only have walls. (see photo)
  • I built a small park. (see photo)

  • Molly added some details to the graveyard outside the church.
  • I continued working on the dungeon. There’s not much to show you yet, so I’ll include a picture of the bridge to the dungeon.
  • We decided to build a castle together. To help us get inspired, we put up a blog post on which we can share pictures with each other.

Bridge over the river Pussi... wait that doesn't sound right

  • DarkIceQueen finished building the racetrack. (see photo)
  • Molly finished building the chapel.
  • ExLee braved the Nether and came back with enough material to start a pretty serious ‘brewery’.
  • I started working on a small stronghold within the underground river. The stronghold itself will have a teleportation room in it. Using command blocks players can step into a teleportation alcove and get teleported to cool biomes millions of blocks away. The current farthest destination is a mesa biome 30,000,000 blocks away. It would normally take 116 days of continuous walking to get there. Another biome included is an Ice Spikes biome located 15,000,000 million blocks away.

Hi-ho silver and away

  • DarkIceQueen continued working on the racetrack. All that’s left now are stables and fences.
  • Molly continued working on the chapel. (see photo)

Mollytheistic temple

  • DarkIceQueen continued working on the racetrack.
  • DarkIceQueen started experimenting with redstone operated weapons for future town defence.
  • I finished creating the town hall’s interior and added a number of features:
    • A Fleeca Bank branch in the basement. The bank has a vault with a six digit combination lock that resets automatically after getting a digit wrong. Each digit has to be pressed once, which means there are 720 possibilities (6x5x4x3x2x1=720). The vault itself still has to be created. (see photo)
    • A library with enchantment table and two chest, one with blank books and another for storing books written by Rioters. The latter contains a guide on how to write books.
    • An administration department where things like ownership papers can be stored.
    • A council chamber, which is kinda obsolete as we’re texting each other in-game, but it’s nice to have one.
    • Reception desks with bank and civil service clerks.

Crack the code

  • DarkIceQueen started working on the racetrack. (see photo)
  • Molly started working on a chapel. (see photo)
  • I finished the exterior of the town hall. (see photo)

  • At the request of DarkIceQueen, I’ve flattened an area (using a world editor) just out of town for a racetrack.
  • DarkIceQueen continues building her inn. (see photo)
  • Molly did some creative work on the streets. (see photo)
  • Molly put up signs with new street names.
  • Molly started building peasant houses. (see photo)
  • ExLee made himself some armour and traded with the locals, unlocking more trade options.
  • I’ve started working on the town hall. (see photo)

  • DarkIceQueen finished the PvE area of the arena. It resembles a Star Trek holodeck made of prismarine blocks. It’s activate by pressing a button that’s wired to dispensers with a variety of monster eggs. Pressing the button will spawn random hostile ‘holograms’. The button is located in the spectator room.
  • DarkIceQueen has started building an inn.
  • Molly finished building the shops.
  • Molly added some decorations to the street.
  • I have finished building the blacksmith and added a blacksmith villager, Desmond Carlyle. (see photo)
  • I have built a house above the blacksmith as well as one adjacent to it. (see photo)

  • The PvP area of the arena is done. It’s ocean themed and features lots of water and obstacles. To enter, players must go through a large corridor connecting four preparation rooms where players can store their items before going into battle. The rooms are connected to the fighting zone by redstone doors, each wired up to a single lever in the arena’s control room. There’s no running away from this fight! I’d show a picture of it, but it’s someone else’s turn to have their work showcased.
  • DarkIceQueen continued her work on the PvE area of the arena. It will be a prismarine styled holodeck. Dispenser with mob eggs in them will be hooked up to a control room. That way people can choose to fight whatever and how many they like.
  • Molly has finished building the pub, including the very detailed interior. (see photo)
  • Molly has started building shops across from the pub. (see photo)
  • Molly has started naming the streets and alleyways. They’re named after Rioters.
  • ExLee continued his adventures and found loads of diamonds in the underground cave.
  • Exlee’s iron golem attempted to trample the farm and nearly got eaten by zombies.

Our house, in the middle of our street

  • The arena’s exterior and most of the interior of the PvP area is complete. We went with a water theme and thus lots of prismarine went into the interior. I’ve dubbed it the prismarena, many disapproved, but I think it’s funny, so ghah! DarkIceQueen made sword statues to liven up the place (see photo)
  • DarkIceQueen has started building the PvE area of the arena.
  • Molly has built stables for our horses.
  • Molly has started building a pub, The Squealing Scuba.
  • ExLee went adventuring and made a ton of money selling produce, in fact he sold so much wheat that Reginald refused to buy any more.
  • ExLee built an iron golem to protect the farm from monsters.

The Prismarena

  • Groundwork has started on a PvP and PvE arena in the underground river. The PvP arena will be adjacent to the entrance. The PvE arenas will be connected to the PvP arena with corridors. (see photo)
  • DarkIceQueen has started working on a minecart railway system between the town and the arena.

And boom goes the dynamite

  • ExLee has started building his house by the farm, taking charge of food production. (see photo)
  • DarkIceQueen has finished her cabin. (see photo)
  • DarkIceQueen has built a TNT cannon near the forest. (see photo)
  • The centre of the city now has a pickaxe statue and market stalls were added. (see photo)
  • Reginald now buys and sells pretty much anything edible.
  • Street lights were added. (see photo)
  • The whole gang went on an adventure and looted two pyramids, two villages and an abandoned mineshaft.
  • TH3FATTYSMURF joined the server.

Growing Steadily

  • The farm was expanded with a third wheat field and can now easily sustain a large group of players.
  • Building style experimentation was done in a one time only creative mode session. Tudor style buildings were chosen for their elegance and because they’re relatively easy to build. The buildings will be finished tomorrow and will serve as an example of the city’s building requirements (see photo)
  • DarkIceQueen has started building a cabin at the edge of the city.
  • The first shop opened. The shopkeeper, Reginald, buys wheat, carrots and potatoes and sells bread.

Architecture Tudorial

  • The farm was expanded with a second wheat field.
  • A dormitory was added to the bunker. (see photo)
  • A cow snuck into the bunker. We’ve named it Bertha and made it our mascot. (see photo)
  • DarkIceQueen joined the server.

questionable sorority

  • Scaffolds were added to a massive stalactite in the underground lake, allowing for save access into the mines. (see photo)
  • The farm has been expanded with another field of wheat and we’ve started growing potatoes.
  • Construction of the city’s two main roads has started.

Somewhat sturdy scaffolds

  • The Pussi Riot Minecraft server has launched. It’s founding members are Molly, ExLee and Grody. Smurf also joins, but doesn’t have access to a PC with Minecraft on this day. The world used was terraformed using a world editor. A large area was flattened and a massive cave system with underground lakes and rivers was added. Our future home is surrounded by mountains with a river running in between.
  • A forest was planted to ensure a steady supply of wood.
  • A farm was founded in the mountains surrounding the city. A tunnel was made to allow easy access to it. An irrigation system was added as well as a single wheat field.
  • A bunker was built to offer protection, as well as a place create and store items. (see photo)
  • A nether portal was placed in the bunker. The portal takes players to a small cave that has been transformed into a jungle biome, offering a save zone in one of the game’s most inhospitable places, as well as an entrance into a nether fortress.

Molly in our new studio apartment

PC – Crafty B*ggers – Pussi Riot…Minecraft style!

Molly in our new studio apartment

Good evening everybody. Long time no speak….well type i suppose actually.

I trust you are all well. Dont worry, I do not have a bad case of pixelitis as you can see in the photograph above, far from it, I am here to announce the new Pussi Riot super duper Minecraft server of DOOM!

Ok so the DOOM part was going a little bit too far….

So, what the hell is going on you may ask? Well after much discussion between me and Grody we have decided that there are a lot of crew members out there that we never really get to play with due to having different consoles/platforms etc and we wanted to think of a fun way to get everyone together every once in a while. So we thought about what games do people play often that are easy, accessible and fun. Well Minecraft on the PC is the obvious answer!

Obviously we are still dedicated to GTA but sometimes its nice to escape Los Santos and the constant heisting or invites to $$$$$$ + 10000000000RP invites (sounds legit…) so Grody has set up a lovely survival server.

Through our discussions we have decided that there is more to this crew than just GTA as we have some pretty cool members on here so we would love to get a proper server going with 20 odd crew members on there all digging and building our way to a lovely Riot Utopia.

So far we have three members on here (me, Grody, ExLee) and would love, love, LOVE to see some more of you. It would be doubly awesome to see some people who may have fallen out of love with GTA (you know who you all are) as we think you are lovely people and would love to continue socialising with you in one form or another so we think this is the perfect way.

So please, if this interests you just PM,Email, send smoke signals etc to me or Grody and lets get you into the game. I can provide avatars for people if required that will match your Riot look but of course you can wear/be whatever you want! Just get in here!

Hope to see you around!

Hopefully see you soon, and remember if you’re getting trolled by some idiot call up your Rioter crew mates and we will come and help!

PS3 – Need For Speed: Los Santos

I would’ve gone for the more crew specific ‘Need For Pussi’, but you know…

On PSNPussi Riot PSN and here… Pussi Riot PSN official blog

What has always bugged me about this game, apart from the bugs and lack of actual bugs, is that it never truly lived up to it’s potential as a proper street racing game. Rockstar has tried to bring theirs, Midnight Club, into the world of GTA, but it just didn’t turn out the way it should have. That however doesn’t mean we can’t create our own racing game!

I grew up playing Need for Speed, starting with ‘Porsche 2000’ back in, well 2000 obviously and all the way up to Need For Speed: Undercover in 2008 and later switched over to Midnight Club LA. My personal favourite has always been Need For Speed: Carbon. The thing that made Carbon stand out was that it cut up the city into different territories where a crew with a certain vehicle type reigned supreme (e.g. a muscle car crew in the industrial areas). You could gain and lose territory by beating or losing to the other crews around the city. I’d like to bring that dynamic to our new monthly racing event, so I too have cut up the city into different areas.

(Click for larger zoomable map)

  • Yellow = Muscle
  • Blue = Supers
  • Green = Sports
  • Orange = Sports Classics

The rules of the game are quite simple

Each colour represents a vehicle type used to race in that territory exclusively. Every territory has a local racing champion crew. Each month the territory and title of local champion has to be defended. To do that, the champion has to create a playlist with 4 races at least one week before the start of the event and win the playlist. The requirements for the races are down below. If the territory is successfully defended, the champion has to do defend their territory again the next month and may choose to create new races or use the old ones. If someone else wins, the territory and titles of local champion are theirs and they´ll have to defend their new found fame next month, but unlike successful defenders, have to create new races.

Racers are allowed to form racing crews with fellow Rioters, but are restricted to a maximum of 3 members. If a crew wins, they win collectively, meaning that all of it’s members may create the races for the next month. The final score of a crew is the final scores of it’s members divided by the number of members. This is so that crews don’t have an unfair advantage over single player racers.

If a player who has become a champion wins another playlist, the player in second place will become the champion.

For a race to be eligible:

  • It has to be in the territory to be defended. Minor crossovers into other territories are permitted.
  • The vehicle class has to be set to the vehicle class of the territory.

Race settings:

  • Standard race (no gta or non-contact)
  • Traffic on
  • Slipstream off
  • Catch-up off
  • Custom vehicles on

Signing up is quick and easy

You can sign up by filling out the contact form below. Normally I wouldn’t ask you to sign-up, but community effort is needed to run this monthly event, so please only sign-up if you are willing to create and partake in races. If you are ever absent, you may ask someone to take your place, just make sure you send me, Grody, a PM on the SC.

And last but certainly not least

We need provisional local champions, so for the first race day you may sign up as one of the four local champs. It’s first come first serve, so don’t wait too long. A date for the first instalment of the monthly Need For Speed: Los Santos will be picked when every class has a champion.

The champions are:

  • Muscle:
  • Supers:
  • Sports:
  • Sports Classics:

PS4 – The Annual Pussi Riot Vacation

PR holiday banner

Poor Molly can’t be arsed this month and I reckon I know why…She needs a holiday!

On PSNPussi Riot PSN and here… Pussi Riot PSN official blog
All that overtime she’s been putting in at Fleeca hasn’t been enough to pay for that lovely new chrome Osiris that she claims to everyone that she doesn’t want. But if truth be known its more to do with the fact that Blondie has been borrowing cash off her left right and centre and Grody has been causing her to lose all her no claims bonus on vehicle repairs…Poor Molly 😥
So this coming Saturday (May 27) we will party like we’ve never partied before as we’re going to join Ms Holywell on a week long vacation to San Andreas’s warmer resorts (btw that’s a week in GTA time which equates to an evening in real time!)

Now the first thing you do when your about to set off on your holidays is to make sure you’ve packed everything you need in your suitcase. So make sure you have your passport, sun tan lotion, and shades with ya. You’re also gonna need to make sure you have the right outfit for the right occasion. Obviously you’re gonna need that skimpy bikini to show off the bod  you’ve been working on down at the gym since New Years. But this is a Pussi Riot vacation so you’re gonna be taking part in all kinds of activities that the tour rep has put on. So make sure to pack a sturdy pair of walking boots and a rain coat, as the last thing you need is to get caught in a thunder storm with just your heels!

We’ll then all meet up at LS International Airport where we will take to the skies in order to embark on our journey to the first mystery exotic destination. I say mystery coz  not even the pilot knows where we’re going yet….But I’m sure it will all be fine.

Once we’ve had plenty of opportunity to sun ourselves, take a dip in the sea and take in some of the sights we’ll start the first playlist. Which this month has been specially selected by our tour guide (coz its a budget package deal) So don’t go blaming Scuba if the races are too hard or if there’s not enough death matches coz she didn’t get to chose the activities ok! ;-P

Flight of the Osiris

For many of us the highlight of the recent DLC was the introduction of the Pegassi Osiris. Finally a car in GTA that is as beautiful as it is fast. It’s also a very sturdy and versatile car that can cope easily with most conditions.

Now the most prominent feature on this admittedly over priced super car is its gull wing doors. But apart from been a swish way to get in and out of your car these doors serve no other purpose

………………………………………..OR DO THEY??

I’ve devised a little free roam party game which involves climbing to the top of Ratton Canyon to the bridge where you jump off at the end of the Pacific Standard Heist finale.

You will then need to phone for your Osiris. Don’t worry if you haven’t got one as we need passengers to be able to pull this trick off.

We will then take it in turns in pairs to hurtle at top speed off the cliff’s edge and then at the optimum moment both driver and passenger will exit the Osiris and parachute to safety. The car should then glide for some time before coming to a stop.

The winner will be the pair who manage to get the Osiris to fly the furthest.

The Finale

We haven’t stormed the military base at the end of a party for quite some time now. So lets do just that! It should be especially fun now that many of have Hydra’s, Valkyries and Savages. We could also try air lifting Rhino’s and Insurgents with Cargo Bobs.

This isn’t strictly part of the tour operators list of planned activities. But I’m sure Bobcat will have killed the tour guide before we even take off in the first place, so who gives a fuck what they want us to do and in which order?

We are Pussi Riot, so we don’t need no jumped up lil nazi to tell us what we can do or when we can do it.

All this sound good to you? Well just make sure your online this Saturday night where your hosts – Raging Red, Laquered Duck, and Scuba_Christ will make this a holiday to remember 😉
